In Africa, Tecno is not only the commonest but also the most affordable smartphone brand. The company has again jumped onto another new design trend with it new device the Camon 12 Air. Tecno has made a name for itself for providing the most essential and fresh specifications of devices while keeping the prices low. The Tecno Camon 12 Air is the latest from Tecno to feature a punch-hole selfie camera in race with all smartphone brands to strive to provide bezel-less display phones.
The Camon 12 Air like majority of Tecno phones is a Dual-sim phone that falls under the mid-range phones, powered by the octa-core Mediatek’s Helio P22 (MT6761) processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage with SD-Card memory expansion. As earlier mentioned, it’s a mid-range processor but gets the job done for someone who wants to experience the latest phone design. Talking about design, the front of this phone is the main selling point. The device features a 6.5 inch 720×1600 pixel IPS display with an 8 mega-pixel punch-hole selfie camera on the top left of the phone, a design Tecno calls “Dot-in Display”, with thin bezel at the bottom. The form factor offers more screen-to-body racial in relation with devices that don’t posses such especially during video playback.

On the back the phone has a triple camera configuration with 16 mega-pixel, 2 mega-pixel and 5 mega-pixel sensors that give provision for Ultra Clear Shot, 120° Super Wide Angle, 2cm Macro Photography and add Bokeh Effect to photos. A quad flash also sits at the bottom of these camera sensors next to the fingerprint scanner.

Tecno Camon 12 Air runs on Android 9.0 Pie at the core with Tecno’s HiOS 5.5 skin at the top to provide additional functionality to the entire system. The phone also carries a massive 4000mAh power capable of lasting two days on a single charge with added advantage that it’s processor is not aggressive enough to drain a lot of battery.
The phone comes in two colors Ocean Blue and Alpenglow Gold, and is set to retail at 139.48 dollars.
