As we wait patiently for the anticipated Galaxy S10, the company’s latest phone the Galaxy A8s provides more than enough hints on what we expect the next Samsung flagship to have.

The Galaxy A8s is the first phone from the company to feature the Infinity-O display, one of the four types of displays the company has been working on.

Infinity Display Leak The Infinity-O display is one that harbors a camera cut-out in the top left of the phone’s display. This implementation therefore eliminates the need for a notch as with majority of flagship phones released this year. This same type of display is rumored to be used in the upcoming Galaxy S10.

Also to note, for the first time, the Galaxy A8s is the first phone from the company that lucks a headphone jack. Samsung was one of the few phones that still offered phones with the beloved 3mm headphone jack. The lack of this port in their latest smartphone doesn’t come as a surprise however as majority of smartphone manufacturers have abandoned it’s inclusion. The exclusion if the headphone jack is also another hint that their upcoming major phones will not posses it.

Looking at the rest of the Galaxy A8s spec-sheet, it features a large 6.4 inch IPS LCD display with 2340 by 1080 resolution, 24 mega-pixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a trio camera arrangement at the back: 24, 10 and 5 mega-pixel all aligned vertically.
The phone is powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC backed by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB on board storage and expandable storage up to 256GB via SD Card slot.
